OAKLAND, CA - As part of the ongoing retrofitting of the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge, Caltrans has closed the upper deck (westbound lanes) from 8 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Tuesday.

Workers will be reconfiguring and marking lanes from the metering lights to the bridge incline.

Caltrans recommends using other Bay Area bridges and BART, which will provide extended, including limited, overnight service the next few days. Bay ferries are another option.
