Classes will be held from 6-9 p.m. on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at the McBride Senior Center, 91 Town Square Place. The class is open to individuals 11 and older.
Participants will learn how to recognize and respond to cardiac breathing and choking emergencies with adults, and how to recognize the symptoms of a heart attack. Training also includes use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) for victims of sudden cardiac arrest, and participants will receive CPR certification that is valid for two years.
The registration fee for each three-hour course is $49 along with a $5 materials fee, payable to the instructor at the class. Pre-registration is required due to limited space.
