Colusa County wildfire doubled in size | News
COLUSA COUNTY, CA - The two-day-old 16 Complex Fire in Rumsey Canyon continues to threaten Cortina Rancheria and the area near the junction of Highway 20 and Highway 16 in Colusa County.
There is an advisory evacuation for Cortina Rancheria and Highway 16 was closed from Highway 20 to the town of Rumsey, Cal Fire said.
Firefighters have the fire, actually two of them four miles apart, 10 percent contained. As of Thursday morning, 7,236 acres were burned.
The terrain was described as rugged and steep, covered in a mix of grass, brush, and oak woodland.
