Can't make it to the Big Easy for Mardi Gras? Let the Yolo County’s Davis Branch Library bring the yum to you! Join Julie Cross, Davis Food Co-op marketing and education director and her team of experts on Thursday, March 6, 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the Blanchard Room of the Mary L. Stephens Davis Branch Library, located at 315 E. 14th Street in Davis. They will demonstrate how to make muffuletta and jambalaya, traditional New Orleans dishes that translate beautifully to your table. See how it’s done, try samples and take home the recipes.
“The Library is a place where people can learn about our rich cultural heritage and explore different traditions,” said Yolo County Librarian Patty Wong. “Join us as we get a taste of the celebratory decadence of ‘Fat Tuesday’ and laissez les bon temps rouler (translation: let the good times roll)!”
