Police investigate possible serial flasher in Davis
Crime

DAVIS, CA - Davis police think the same man could be responsible for two and perhaps four exposure incidents reported since March.

The most recent episode was Thursday night at 609 Alvarado Avenue. Lt. Paul Doroshov said a 22-year-old woman was in her apartment when her attention was caught by a glimmer of light outside her window. She looked out and saw a man exposing himself.

The victim described the prowler to responding officers as Hispanic, about 5 feet 11 inches tall with a stocky build. She said he wore a black, hoodie sweatshirt; red basketball shorts and a cloth covering most of his face.

A week earlier, on May 23, a witness reported seeing a man exposing himself in front of an apartment window on the 1500 block of H Street, Doroshov said. The flasher was described as Hispanic or Middle Eastern, and wearing a black, hooded sweatshirt and baggy clothes.

Doroshov said there were two similar incidents in the same area in March in which the flasher knocked on a window to get his victim's attention. Those incidents were reported on March 19 at 614 Sycamore Lane and March 1 at 520 Alvarado Avenue.

Police urged prowling incidents to be reported to 911 immediately.
