Search warrants lead to arrest of 7 drug, weapons charges

Vacaville police arrested seven people on a variety of drug and weapons charges following a recent investigation.

Officers with the Vacaville Police Department Narcotics Team (VPDNET)   conducted an operation on September 5 in which two search warrants were served in the cities of Dixon and Vallejo. VPDNET was assisted by the Vacaville Crime Suppression Team (CST), California Multi-Jurisdictional Methamphetamine Enforcement Team (CalMMET / SOLNET), and the Solano County Sherriff’s Department. 

While serving the search warrants, over 10 ounces of methamphetamine, with a street value of approximately $10,000, was seized along with over $7,000 in cash, and three firearms - one being stolen. The suspects from both locations were arrested and booked into jail on numerous drug sales and weapons violations.

Irish Donohue, 21, of Dixon was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine for sale (11378 H&S), possession of a controlled substance while being armed (11370.1 H&S), and violent felon having access to a firearm (29800 (B)PC). Donohue is a documented member of the Family Affiliated Irish Mafia (FAIM) gang.  

Dempsey Azich, 20, of Vallejo was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance for sale (11378 H&S), violation of probation (1203.2 PC), and possession of a controlled substance while being armed (11370.1 H&S). 

Mark Rhea, 23, of Pinole was arrested and charged with violation of probation (1203.2 PC).  Kacey Mertz, 25, of Dixon was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance for sale (11378 H&S) and possession of a controlled substance while being armed (11370.1 H&S).

Carlos Miranda, 18, of Antioch was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana for sale (11359 H&S) and armed with a firearm in the commission of a felony (12022(A)(1)PC). 

Kalyn Decarlo,18, of Vallejo was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance for sale (11378 H&S), possession of a controlled substance while being armed (11370.1 H&S), possession of marijuana for sale (11359 H&S), and possession of stolen property (496 PC). 

Jonathan Blakeley, 19, of Vallejo was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana for sale (11359 H&S), armed with a firearm in the commission of a felony (12022(A)(1) PC), and violation of probation (1203.2 PC).
