Caught on Camera: Girl found dead in park seen day before | Crime
FAIRFIELD, CA - Fairfield police detectives have a last sighting of a 13-year-old girl later found dead in Allan Witt Park last Friday morning.
The girl, Genelle Renee Conway-Allen, of Suisun City, was seen in the area of Railroad Avenue in Suisun City late Thursday afternoon (Jan. 31), said police Sgt. Matthew Bloesch. Just minutes before that sighting, the young teen was captured on camera walking through the intersection of E. Tabor Avenue and Grande Circle in Fairfield. The two cities adjoin each other in Solano County.
In the photo, Conway-Allen was wearing a gray sweater, blue jean leggings and a pink backpack.
"We are just dealing with it day by day sticking together as a family how you should," Genelle's cousin Vanessa Breaux said.
The nude body of Conway-Allen was discovered by a passerby at the park on West Texas Street about 6:45 Friday morning, according to police. There were no obvious signs of trauma.
Detectives have yet to account for Conway-Allen's whereabouts from late Thursday afternoon until the discovery of her body the next morning. Anyone who saw her during that time was urged to contact the Fairfield Police Department's major crimes tipline at (707) 428-7345, 24 hours a day. Callers can remain anonymous.
