Former priest accused of sex abuse pleads not guilty | Crime
SACRAMENTO, CA - A former Woodland priest accused of molesting a girl pled not guilty in a Sacramento County Superior Court Friday.
Uriel Ojeda, 32, who used to work at Holy Rosary Church in Woodland, is charged with sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl.
Sacramento Catholic Diocese spokesperson Kevin Eckery said in a Jan. 9 interview that Ojeda admitted to two church officials that he molested the girl.
Ojeda was released from jail after posting bail in January after he was arrested on Nov. 30, 2012.
Leading up to his trial, Ojeda must wear an electronic monitor and stay in Sacramento County.
He is scheduled to be back in court on Dec. 6.
